Notes: aaaahhh I'm so pretentious and I have no idea what I'm doing anymore. This was originally conceived for

fe_contest challenge 5, Spirit, but I couldn't finish it with the ending I originally intended. So I've been picking at it forever and I just want it off my hands already, regardless of quality (that quality being "decidedly ungood, possibly full of canon-fail").

Notes: Way way way pre-FE9. Tried to strike a balance between FE9!Izuka and FE10!Izuka because they're not quite the same, but it ended up favoring "FE10!Izuka plus some random elements that may contradict either or both, but I'll dismiss that with a lot of hand-waving about how people change when they get old." Also, crazy stylistic crap with which I'm not quite satisfied. May undergo a bit more tinkering.
( He was usually clean enough, for a dirt-poor orphan out of Shifu. He just smelled like death. )
