handful of 3-sentence AUs

A tiny, pathetic part of him had hoped that the sword wouldn’t fit into his hand, or would go dull when he touched it, or whatever way a sword had of saying, “this is hero business, and that’s not you.” Because then there’d be nothing he could do - and he was already pretty used to the idea of the world being doomed, so he could just go to ground and ride out the end of days knowing he was off the hook, and at least he’d tried.
But it was sharp and feather-light in his grasp, and the only true hero was dead, and Yuga was waiting.
2. Perhaps too simple, but: Link fights Hilda when she turns on him and, ah, wins. Ravio shows up TOO LATE. Now what, is the question.
And to think he’d been worried about what to say, how to explain his desertion, whether he’d need to talk her down, whether he’d even be able to.
If only.
The hero was looking at him, confused, but Ravio didn’t have the strength for words - only pulled his hood back and went to her side.
Using the Link+Zelda of your choice: Zelda's prophetic dreams tell her that a young man in green is in great peril, and his fate is tied to Hyrule's. Nobody takes her concerns re: some strange kid who might not even exist seriously. Solution: ZELDA GOES ADVENTURING TO SAVE HIM or some such.
Zelda had taken occasional weapons training, of course; she was her own last line of defense, and it would have been silly not to call on Impa’s impressive store of knowledge and experience, besides. The hookshot, though - her lessons had not included a hookshot.
“Well,” she told herself, examining the device from every angle and hoping the Triforce of Wisdom counted for something, “that boy still needs your help, so let’s figure this out.”
Three Sentence AU: Rennac and L'Arachel on an Steampunk Airship vs pirates
L’Arachel stood on the bridge as cannonballs rent the air and said, “You know, Rennac, I’ve had quite enough of these miscreants trying to push us around.”
“They’re almost in grappling range and the engine room is literally on fire,” said Rennac, “so if this is ‘pushing us around,’ I hope I never live to see what you call -”
L’Arachel gave a slight twist to the glass bulb capping her staff, and in response a low electrical hum began somewhere amidships; when pressed she said only, “Well, I suppose I forgot to tell you about our secret weapon, but hurry and get underneath something and you’re in for a lovely surprise.”
