only just now got the energy to reply here and hoo boy this fic is so good, it's been rattling around in my craw for the last uh, week? there's a very sensual tenderness to this that's a bit 'between the lines', and i love how you juxtaposed that with both of their very stark sense of duty and discipline, so much the so that the tenderness reads as unsettling as the ah, undead part.
