but, in all honesty, this was really really good—i kind of hope you're planning to share it with a wider audience at some point, since the world kind of needs more good simon fic like burning.

for "not having a feel" for any of the characters yet, for the most part they sounded pretty "right" to me throughout. the opening confrontation through the door of blackquill's apartment was particularly on-key; his flat responses were so very Blackquill. ""All this shrieking is upsetting Taka" heh. and Athena's great, too.

also, way to make the comic relief sad / stab me in the weak spot / ow. poor gumshoe.
