Long Road Home
Title: Long Road Home
Fandom: Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Character/Pairing: Nasir, Ena
Genre: Angst
Word count: 145
Rating: G
Warnings: Spoilers for FE10 if you misinterpreted the last scene of FE9.Okay, I dunno how I could possibly make it more obvious what this is about
Notes: I'd planned this out as a longer piece, but then I reached what seemed like a stopping point. I'm still debating whether or not to expand on it.
Inspired by some stuff Ena says in the epilogue and some old Chinese traditions.
Goldoans do not die easily.
It's a long way home from Daein.
Deghinsea will want answers – Kurthnaga as well. He isn't certain Ena is equipped to give them, and to do so himself would seem a transgression. He concerns himself only with the facts, since he has no real claim on the pathos, and when Ena wishes to speak, he listens. She usually doesn't. She, too, is wrapping herself up in facts.
It's very sunny today.
This river is swollen; the crossing may prove problematic if they are to continue carrying the body this way.
The coffin at least is fairly sturdy.
One of the elders told her once that a spirit can't cross running water. He tells her he doesn't believe that. She nods, but bites her lip, looking apprehensive.
Rajaion was a wonderful man.
He will be happy to return home.
More facts.
